Quarantine Journal

Quarantine. Not a word I expected for 2020, but here we are. We might be towards the end, we might only be in the middle. I couldn't tell you where we are at with this virus. But this I know, no matter where we stand, life can still be good.
I'm currently sitting on my bed day dreaming about all the things I could be doing on this beautiful day. Shopping would be nice - actually, better than nice. I long to go into a LOFT, TJ Maxx, Anthropologie, or even Trader Joe's. I've been to the grocery store several times. I've even been in Target. But it's not the same as before. Having to Lysol or Clorox everything I buy before putting it away is a pain, but necessary. I don't like it, but I'll do it.
Today, I cleaned out my closet (for the second time during this self isolation..) and I put away the last of my fall/winter clothes. I brought out my summer clothes. It's not the same as shopping, but it reminded me to be grateful for the things I do have. But I may be adding a couple of pairs of leggings into my online cart anyways. ;)
It is so beautiful outside, so I plan to spend some time in the sunshine today. I did manage to go to Hope Depot earlier this week and buy some paint for some furniture in my house. Today might just be the perfect day for some DIY work!

While this season feels weird, I'm trying to embrace it as best as I can. I may not be doing the best at it, but what really is "best" in this unknown place? I don't have advice for anyone out there, except for take it one day at a time. Open your Bible more often. Journal your thoughts, feelings, and prayers. And reach out to those who care for you. And maybe grab another pair of leggings because we don't know how much longer we will be lounging around the house! ;)
