Gift Guide for the Jewelry Lover

  1. I'm the girl who loves a big statement accessory. Some days I prefer to be more simple than others, which is why earrings have become my favorite items to wear. I wear my silver J.Crew Factory studs every. single. day. But I love borrowing my sister's Kendra Scott earrings when I want to dress a little more fancy, which is why I listed these pink and black Kendra Scott earrings
  2. BaubleBar has the best statement earrings out there! The gift set in the picture is sold out, so I linked similar ones here and here. And Target's BaubleBar Sugarfix collection is great because earrings are as good as $10 and $13!
  3. I love a good statement necklace, too! My collection grows continuously. I like to keep them on the cheaper side, so I shop at Target, J.Crew Factory, and Charming Charlie's. This Sugarfix necklace is stunning for the holiday season! I want it for myself, but I also want to gift it to someone. If only I could think of who... ;)
  4. If you need a good bracelet, this one is stunning! I have one similar to this and I wear it all of the time! It's so girly and so perfect!
  5. My #1 item on my Christmas list this year is this Monogram Necklace. You'll see it again when I post my Christmas wishlist, because I just adore it so much!

MY BLACK FRIDAY PICKS

This year for Black Friday, I pretty much stayed glued to either my couch or my bed because shopping from my computer sounded a lot better than going out in all of the crowds. I love Black Friday and I love participating in it, but I slept in AND got a nap in so...... ;)

I've been viewing the cyber week deals all week long, looking out for which sales I wanted to participate in for Black Friday and I picked out some of my favorites and have been updating them each day here.  But come the actual day to go shopping and I only wanted to go to two stores. Crazy, right?!

This year, I found this vest on a blogger's instagram feed and had been wanting to get it since, so I waited for it to go on sale and since it was 50% off, I got dressed and went to Old Navy to get it. It is currently sold out in all but small in black, but the green looks really cute, too!

I had my eye on this sweater, but my size wasn't in store, so I couldn't try it on and opted not to buy it. If it's still there the next time I go into the store, I'll most likely get it, but I ended up getting this shirt instead.  I have two of these shirts (different patterns and colors of course!) and I wear them so much, I've basically worn every penny's worth! And this one is perfect for December!

I also went in for the pajama pants. I mean, $8.50? It's a perfect deal! I personally prefer these exact pants to sleep in. My sister and my mom prefer a different material, but this material is definitely my favorite! I absolutely LOVE the plaid ones! But right as I was about to go to the checkout line, I fell in love with these! Unfortunately they didn't have my size, so online was my option yet again.

The next place I chose to shop was.... Target ;) There wasn't much of a sale like I could have found at Express or LOFT, but it made for a fun trip! I tried on a few items, but wasn't impressed with how they fit/looked. But I found myself yet again in the jewelry section staring at BaubleBar's line.  The items are just too adorable, you guys! I ended up getting these earrings in the color Magenta. I can't wait to style them for some bright pink and white holiday outfits!

I've linked below my favorite items from this year's sales.  I would love to know what sales you participated in and what you purchased! :)

I hope that you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you've found some amazing items this Black Friday!
xoxo,
Marissa

VEST SEASON

White Puffer Vest (similar) The white vest pictured is really old and from Macy's. I still like it and wear it, so I haven't purchased another, but I really do wish to purchase the J Crew Factory one like my black, pink, & herringbone because those really are the best! And bonus! They are all on sale! The Old Navy one is super cheap and actually is a perfect option!

Pink Puffer Vest (similar) (similar) My bright pink vest is currently not online anymore. I purchased it in September and I'm so glad that I didn't turn it down. (We all know I'd be in tears because I didn't own it...) but my light pink vest is still in stock AND on sale 40% off! Do yourself a favor and get it now!

I cannot find another navy and white striped vest anywhere! I guess because it was really in style like two years ago (but I still love mine!). I found one striped (and reversible!) vest that is really cute! You can also search Poshmark for the original striped vest for really cheap! :)

Fall Style Guide 2017

Copper Mug - These mugs are adorable! They are usually not cheap,
so when they go on sale, grab them! You don't need a bunch, one or two will be perfect in your household!

White Ruffle Top - White, ruffles, AND less than $21?! Sold.

Grey Ruffle - Similar to the white top, but in GREY and with ore ruffles! This is a couple of dollars more than the white, but still it's currently under $25!

Bauble Bar Tassel Earrings  - Anything Bauble Bar is worth investing in, in my opinion. These tassels are all over Instagram, Pinterest, blogs... You don't have to be fancy to pull them off. They look great on anyone! This is worth putting on your Christmas wishlist! :)

Rug - I LOVE this pattern on a rug, blanket, pillow... really on any household essential! This rug is at a great price and of course the quality has to be good since it is coming from Nordstrom! ;) It is small, so it will fit perfectly at your door entrance!

Basket - Every household needs a cute statement basket, right? Or maybe that's just what I say... These are such cute baskets to throw your blankets and pillows in. Plus they just make a great statement in the room! Monogrammed ones are my favorite ways to make your statement. Did I say statement too much? Okay, I'll stop now.

Sole Society Booties (smaller heel) - Booties are so tricky to shop for. I can say that truthfully because after three years, I'm still trying to find a pair that I like and will actually wear. These are a bit more pricey, but they are great quality and from an amazing brand. If I were to invest in a bootie, I'd look for something like these. (Maybe I should just go ahead and invest in them already.... )

Over the Knee - I so badly want to purchase a pair of OTK boots. But I recently tried some on at DSW and could not get my foot in the boot... So not worth the hassle for this girl, let me tell you that. But, these have great reviews, so I'd suggest checking them out!

Sole Society Tote Bag - I think the image is enough to sell us all, right?!

Block Heel Booties - I think I come back to looking at these booties every other week or so... They look so perfect! But I don't wear heels very often, so I always opt out of purchasing them. The heel is not bad, though! If you like booties to be a bit taller, definitely get these ones!

Sunglasses - I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in paying $200 for sunglasses. If they are big and bold, I'll pay anywhere from $5-$50. These are great because they fit all of those categories!

Nordstrom has some great items for Christmas gifts, host gifts for the holidays, or items to just give to yourself! You can also check out Nordstrom Rack for more great discounts & deals!

Fall and Winter Scarf Guide 2017

Scarf season is definitely here for the most of us and I know how hard it can be to find a good scarf with both good quality and style. Last year, I put together a scarf guide and while those styles are still available this season, the exact links and items may not be available. So, I went online and searched some of my favorite stores for some great scarves, and good news: I found some great ones!

When it comes to finding a scarf you love, you want to be able to choose one (or plenty!) according to YOUR style. Do you like bold patterns or do you prefer simple? Does the color red just sit in your closet and never get worn? If so, don't opt for red in an accessory, because you may never even wear it. Do you hate to wear big bulky scarves, but really like the look of them? The good thing about them is that they can be brought along as a blanket or wrap and don't have to be tied up like a scarf! I'd suggest getting that pattern that you really love (even if it's a tad too bold for you) because people will notice and wish they had that really great "blanket" you're wearing!

The places that I prefer to shop for scarves are usually Nordstrom, Old Navy, and Target. When shopping Nordstrom, always look for the ones under or around $25. Nordstrom's quality is wonderful and you also get free shipping, so you really are getting a good deal!
Old Navy offers so many different colors and styles! Plus they are almost always having a sale, so you're not paying much for your cold weather accessories.
And Target is... well, Target. ;)
Other options I would suggest are Charming Charlie, H&M, and for a bit more pricey of an option: JCrew Factory.

One last thing: plaids and leopards are my favorite choices for scarves and blankets (but you could probably tell from the picture..), but that does not mean that you have to keep to those patterns alone! Sure they are great fall/winter looks, but you can most definitely choose bright colors if you love them!

Play around on the stores' websites. There's still plenty more options to choose from!
Happy shopping! :)
