OLD NAVY: SUMMERTIME

When springtime comes, I get nervous about what clothes I'm going to wear in the summer because OKC is just so dang hot in the summer! I absolutely hate wearing shorts, but you rarely get to wear jeans or even capris in the Oklahoma heat. So shopping for summer is my least favorite thing.
But Old Navy almost always comes to the rescue for me! (insert praise hands) For awhile, I had a hard time finding dresses I could wear, but lately, Old Navy has offered the best options and they are so inexpensive, it's insane!
So here are some recent finds that you will see me wearing on repeat until late September when we finally get some coolness in the air.  JK you'll see me in these even then! ;)

This striped cardigan has been on my wishlist for months, but I FINALLY caved in and bought it..even if it wasn't on sale! ;)

As if I don't have enough army green jackets, I NEED this one in my closet! I haven't bought it yet, but I did get the blush pink one! And you'll see me in that one until it gets holes in it! haha! Also, BRB, I'm going back to Old Navy for this green one....

I didn't buy this white jacket. I definitely need to go back and try it on with some more tees so I can convince myself once and for all that I need it. I don't wear denim jackets much, but its just so cute! Should I buy it? You tell me!

Thanks for shopping with me, my friends!
xoxo

Current Hair Faves

I love me some hair products! Any of my girlfriends can tell you that that's true. I've used so many different brands for shampoo & conditioner and I still have yet to find "the one" -- you know, the one item that you can't live without and come back to after trying something else.  I have read all of Kate's post over at thesmallthingsblog and I've watched all of her youtube videos which have all helped my choosing of products! She really is the queen of hair.

Redken is one of my all time favorites for shampooing and conditioning. I'm currently using the color extend line and I'm really loving it! I enjoy the smell and how my hair feels after washing it.  I recently colored my hair back to dark brown (praise hands going up!) and this line is perfect for the change.
These can be kind of pricey, but Ulta and Beauty Brands do a buy 2 get 1 free sale pretty often. Both stores also have them in jumbo sizes on sale for around $15. Both stores also offer coupons. :)

About once a week I use this AH-mazing (& $6!) hair cream after shampooing (in replace of conditioner).  It's made to repair damaged hair after just one use, so I use it about every week to keep my hair healthy and refreshed. I've paid close to thirty dollars for a hair mask before, so finding this one for just six dollars makes me incredibly happy! Because I use heat on my hair every time after I wash it,  I find it necessary to apply a mask pretty often. I find that it really helps to keep the hair healthy!

After washing my hair, I let it towel dry for about 10-15 minutes before applying product and blow drying it.  I comb my hair with a comb instead of a brush to help from breaking my hair.

My hair can tend to get frizzy, so I've been eyeing certain products to help control that and I found the chi straight guard did the trick! It really keeps it smooth!

This hairspray is my go-to. I've used it since middle school and I still love the smell every time I spray it.  It's such a classic!

**I received the l'oreal total repair product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Leather (or Faux Leather) Totes

My favorite bag to carry around with me is usually brown and usually big! I carry my necessities (makeup, writing tools, books, perfume... literally everything..) EVERYWHERE with me, so the bigger the bag, the better!
Mine is from Charming Charlie's early this fall, and I cannot find it online, so I've linked some of my favorite similar items! I tried to keep it in a smaller price range with a couple of higher options of course! If I were to splurge on a bag, this bag is the one I'd choose!
Do you love big bags or do you prefer the smaller ones? I'd love to know!

Gift Guide for the Jewelry Lover

  1. I'm the girl who loves a big statement accessory. Some days I prefer to be more simple than others, which is why earrings have become my favorite items to wear. I wear my silver J.Crew Factory studs every. single. day. But I love borrowing my sister's Kendra Scott earrings when I want to dress a little more fancy, which is why I listed these pink and black Kendra Scott earrings
  2. BaubleBar has the best statement earrings out there! The gift set in the picture is sold out, so I linked similar ones here and here. And Target's BaubleBar Sugarfix collection is great because earrings are as good as $10 and $13!
  3. I love a good statement necklace, too! My collection grows continuously. I like to keep them on the cheaper side, so I shop at Target, J.Crew Factory, and Charming Charlie's. This Sugarfix necklace is stunning for the holiday season! I want it for myself, but I also want to gift it to someone. If only I could think of who... ;)
  4. If you need a good bracelet, this one is stunning! I have one similar to this and I wear it all of the time! It's so girly and so perfect!
  5. My #1 item on my Christmas list this year is this Monogram Necklace. You'll see it again when I post my Christmas wishlist, because I just adore it so much!
